Solon Patch's First Anniversary: Tell Us How We're Doing

Today is the one year anniversary of Solon Patch. So use this space to tell us how we're doing -- what we've done well, and what we can do better.

, I was beginning my journey as editor of Solon Patch. What a ride it's been!

About 1,800 articles later, we are just getting started.

We couldn't have done it without you: our readers, our users, our contributors. Thanks for making our first year a huge success, and for following our coverage. From writing about the successes of to the deer culling debate at to the sometimes weird stuff in the blotter to everything, we've enjoyed the ride. I hope you've had fun too, and left feeling more informed about your community.

In the last year, we've worked hard to spread the word about Patch, about the unique opportunity we're offering to the Solon community -- a place where the community can come together and not just find out what's going on, but become a sort-of virtual town hall where neighbors can talk, plan and make Solon a better place.

Our mission is to make Patch a (free!) service that you can't live without. No way are we there yet: We've only been around for a year, and we know that we have a long way to go to get there
