Solon's Davidson, Schwenke Earn All-Ohio Football Honors

Senior Linebacker Nick Davidson was named first team All-Ohio and Defensive Back Ryan Schwenke was named to the second-team defense.

Two key members of the Solon Comets defense, Seniors Nick Davidson and Ryan Schwenke, were named to the Associated press All-Ohio football team.

Davidson, a linebacker, made the first team defense. Schwenke, a defensive back, made the second team defense.

The all-state teams are decided by a panel of media members.

Davidson, who was also named the defensive player of the year in the Northeast Ohio Conference, finished the regular season with 98 tackles, including 18 tackles for loss, and two interceptions. He also contributed on offense at running back, including the 20-yard overtime touchdown run that defeated Twinsburg.

Schwenke had 72 tackles, four interceptions and two fumble recoveries in the regular season. He also scored two defensive touchdowns for the Comets.
