Solon Students Win Awards For Science Projects At Engineering Fair
Solon Schools students performed well at the recent BEST Medicine Engineering Fair held in Akron.

The fair is devoted to students interested in "exploring biomedical engineering, brings together the most talented and innovative students to interact with each other and with leaders in medical device research and development."
BEST Medicine was put together by the Austen BioInnovation Institute in Akron.

Solon students receiving awards for their projects were:
- Rachel Caprini, of , won the Gold in Health/Medicine for 7th and 8th grade.
- Amogh Iyer, Solon Middle School, won the Silver award for NEOMED Musculoskeletal for 7th and 8th grade.
- Shivani Bafna, of , won Silver for value-driven engineering for grades 9 through 12.
- Caprini and Bafna also won the Tech Equipment Awards for their grades. Caprini won for 8th grade and Bafna for 10th grade.
