STEM Playground Opens In Aurora

TreeHouse Toys & Play, a new playground-and-toy-store inspired by the newest “learn-through-play” trends in early childhood development and featuring carefully curated toys from around the world designed to entertain and educate, has opened its doors in Aurora, Ohio at the Marketplace at Four Corners shopping center.

TreeHouse offers nearly 3,000 square feet of fun, excitement, and early learning, with sections including a train table, sensory table, kitchen, workbenches, doll houses, a tea set table, “makers” spaces, an arts-and-crafts section, and an enormous, friendly grizzly bear that can’t wait for kids to climb on it. In the center of the playground is a giant treehouse waiting to be explored. New features and activities are regularly added to keep the little ones engaged and offer them new things to discover and learn.

TreeHouse focuses on sensory play, STEM toys, and Montessori-style learning activities. TreeHouse’s founders look around the world for sustainable, environmentally-friendly toys manufactured with top ethical working standards. Their focus is primarily on toys made of natural materials, primarily wood, with age-appropriate features that help teach new skills, develop focus, and stimulate little minds. The two founders, Yana and Alan, are Shaker Heights, Ohio residents and the parents of two young kids who offered them inspiration for the playground’s name and the colossal treehouse inside. Their kids are the chief testers for the toys and activities featured at TreeHouse. They sought to create a magical place for kids to explore and enjoy.

TreeHouse also offers an event room for birthday parties and other events for kids. And, grownups looking to purchase a present will find a selection of exquisite, educational toys, designed to foster new skills and develop focus in the little ones, including the kinds of toys used in Montessori schools to educate preschoolers, kindergartners, and first graders.
