Solon police chased a stolen pickup truck through their city and into Orange Village on Wednesday.
SOLON, OH — Solon police chased a stolen pickup truck through the city and into Orange Village, where the chase ended in a crash.
On Wednesday afternoon, police spotted a stolen pickup truck parked on Neptune Drive. Officers watched the vehicle until three men got inside and started to drive away. Police then turned on their lights and tried to pull the truck over, a department spokesperson said.
However, the driver floored it and tried to elude police. A nearby officer deployed stop sticks to pop the truck's tires and end the chase. Two tires popped, but the truck continued to rattle away from police, the spokesperson said.
