Thief Holds Conversation with Neighbor Before Stealing Model Home Furniture

Information provided by the Solon Police Department

A man pulled up to a Morning Star model home on Emerald Ridge Parkway in a silver Chevrolet Trail Blazer just before 1 p.m. on Oct. 8 and stole most of the display furniture in the home, but not before he held a conversation with a neighbor, Solon police said.

The suspect parked the truck outside the home and told the neighbor he was there to pick up furniture for a friend. He even had a dog in his truck that he let play with the neighbor's dog.

The suspect made off with a couch, love seat, chair, floor lamp and area rug, totaling $4,300, according to police.
