Upset Woman Removed From Home in Solon

A 24-year-old woman was forcibly removed from a Solon home on Jan. 9 after the homeowner said the woman became violent.

received a call Jan. 9 from a homeowner on Sedgefield Oval who said that a guest in her home became violent after a disagreement. According to the homeowner, the woman picked up a large pot containing a "tree-like plant" and threw it across the kitchen, nearing striking a 4-year-old child seated at the table.

According to a police report, the woman locked herself in a basement bathroom and refused to cooperate with police. Officers had to enter the bathroom, handcuff her and physically remove her from the house.

The woman, a 24-year-old Northfield resident, was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
