Solon Woman's Identity Stolen By Thief on Shopping Spree

A Patterson Lane woman went on a nearly $10,000 shopping spree without even knowing it.

That's because someone stole her identity and did the shopping for her.

The 38-year-old woman reported on Oct. 12 that someone had opened several credit cards in her name and charged them up in Indiana to the tune of $9,218, according to police. The thieves shopped at places such as Kohl's, Meyer, Gap and Macy's.

The woman will not be held accountable, and detectives are following up, police said.
