Art work covering traffic signal boxes throughout the City of Stow: Over a year ago it was an idea developed by the Stow Arts Commission and the City of Stow.Β  Calling this innovative venture into street art a success would be an understatement, and that was just the beginning. Those that went up in 2021 will be seen through 2023, as part of a three-year rotation. 8Γ—10 prints from this first phase are available for purchase at $25Β  each at https://stowohio.org/stow-art-for-sale/ .

Phase Two, with 19 boxes planned for this year, begins in the spring with installation to be completed by June 17, 2022.Β  This year boxes will be seen on Kent Rd., Fishcreek Rd., Hudson Dr., and Steels Corners Rd.Β  The Arts Commission intends to offer sponsorships to residents and businesses, with proceeds going to all projects presented by the Stow Arts Commission, with the eventual hope that someday participating artists could be compensated.

There will be three Sponsorship levels: $500, $250, $50.

$500 – 3”x4” space within the art itself, featuring name, website, photo, etc.

Private and business sponsorships are entirely voluntary and all proceeds will go to Arts Commission-based projects. The traffic signal box art is an ongoing program from the City of Stow through the Stow Arts Commission.Β  Each piece of box art is covered against any kind of damage by the City of Stow and will be on display for three years from the date of installation.
