"Fall is in the air! With the onset of the season, we look forward to many exciting endeavors for our community! Community events, community services, and other important initiatives will commence in the next months as we wind down 2021.

As temperatures fall, so do the leaves! We are gearing up to launch a significant City service, our Residential Leaf Pick Up Program, for 2021 on October 25. For a full list of scheduled pick-up dates, districts, and guidelines, visit the following: Leaf Pick Up Program.

Mark your calendar for our annual neighborhood trick or treat night. If you wish to hand out candy, please make sure your porch light is on. The City of Stow’s trick or treating will take place on Saturday, Oct. 30, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dress up and have fun, Stow!

We have more! We are also hosting our second annual Haunted Hayride, a festive Halloween Hop, our nostalgic Window Painting event, Halloween Decoration Tour, Scarecrows on the Plaza, and flag planting at City Hall in honor of Veterans Day. The Halloween Hayride is taking place at Silver Springs Park on Oct. 16 and promises a spooktacular time for the whole family!

You can also take a self-guided Decoration Tour of the businesses and houses that decorated for the fall season, map will be available on our website! The tour begins Oct. 11 and runs through Halloween. For all events, visit our website events page, and follow our Fun in Stow Facebook page!

I am excited to report that we continue to invest in the infrastructure in our community, making steady progress on our improvements initiatives. Ultimately, our goal is to provide the best services to our residents, and to make sure our community is sustainable.
