City Of Stow: Stow Weather Event Upgraded To A WARNING

Stow, OH – (January 16, 2022 – 5:00pm) The Weather event for Stow and surrounding areas has been upgraded from an advisory to a WARNING. There is now an emergency parking ban in effect. If possible, please stay off our roadways, for your safety and so City crews are able to do their work unobstructed. Thank you in advance! Please stay safe!

(January 16, 2022 – 1:45pm)Β  We’re making every effort to let residents know that a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the City of Stow and surrounding areas. The timeline for the event is from 7:00pm this evening (January 16) until 7:00am Monday morning (January 17). So that you are able to prepare, we anticipate that a parking ban will go into effect at 10:00pm this evening (Sunday, January 16). Β Our city staff, including Service, Police and Fire/EMS, is poised and ready to keep you as safe as possible during this upcoming weather event.

Service Department crews are reporting in at 4:00PM today to pretreat our streets prior to the start of snowfall. Β The service department will be fully staffed around the clock until the weather event is over, with up to fifteen vehicles in action. Β The priorities for treating and plowing our roadways is as follows:

First priority – MainΒ streets

Second priority – Secondary streets

Third priority – Neighborhood streets

If you are able to stay off the roadways during the event, that would be great for us and for you! We wish all of our Stow residents a safe Sunday and Monday as we weather the storm!
