Here are the top three stories today in Strongsville:

  1. The Avant-Garde Art & Craft Show will be at the Strongsville Ehrnfelt Recreation Center on Saturday, Nov. 19, and Sunday, Nov. 20. The craft show will feature handmade items from nearly 100 local artisans and crafters. This event is the perfect holiday shopping event. The craft show will be from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
  2. A commercial vehicle collision occurred on Thursday morning on Interstate 80 near Strongsville. One driver died during the collision, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The crash occurred just north of the Mill Stream Run Reservation at about 9:49 a.m. The road's westbound lanes were closed for several hours while the crash was cleared. (News 5 Cleveland)
  3. The Cleveland-Cuyahoga Port Authority has received a $27.2 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation. The money will be used to modernize and expand the port's warehouse infrastructure. The port is the premier driver of regional economic vitality and job creation, according to the President of the Port of Cleveland. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
