- The Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works and the Ohio Department of Transportation are asking for community input on rehabilitation bridge projects. Input is needed for the two bridges on Warrensville Center Road. The proposed project will replace the bridge deck and drainage while improving traffic signals. Comments can be provided by emailing sdaniels@lawhon-assoc.com. Comments will be collected until Sept. 3. (Cleveland.com)
- The Ohio Department of Health reports that COVID-19 hospitalizations have increased. Cuyahoga County is identified by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a high community level. The agency recommends that residents stay up to date on vaccinations while wearing masks. Currently, masks are required in county government buildings. (ClevelandJewishNews.com)
- TryTech smart apartments provide Cuyahoga County residents with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live independently. The technology allows individuals the opportunity to effectively test-drive independence while gaining a sense of confidence. The county Board of Developmental Disabilities Support Administrators and Assistive Technology staff will be working with residents to find the right fit. (Cleveland.com)
