Here are the top three stories in Strongsville today:

  1. Saint-Gobain has opened its new state-of-the-art CertainTeed Architectural facility in Strongsville. The company will manufacture specialty wood ceiling systems at the new facility. The new facility more than doubles Saint-Gobain's manufacturing capacity. (Business Wire)
  2. The Strongsville Police Department is taking a new approach to addressing drug addiction. The department's Community Opiate Outreach Program is using two new programs to assist those battling addiction. The first is the "Safe Passages" program which allows individuals to walk into a police station to ask for help. The second is the department's Quick Response Team which consists of an officer, a paramedic, and a state-certified counselor. The team will help individuals find treatment. (News 5 Cleveland WEWS)
  3. A 47-year-old woman being held in the Cuyahoga County Jail has been pronounced dead. The individual was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center's emergency room after being found "in distress" in her cell on Tuesday morning. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office will be conducting an autopsy on Melissa Musson's body. It is unclear whether she was sick when she arrived at the jail. (WKSU)
