Here are the top three stories today in Strongsville:
- Strongsville's Gardenview Horticultural Park will be open through Oct. 15. The 16-acre botanical garden offers a large selection of unique plants, trees, and vegetation. Admission to the park is five dollars for non-members. Children between five and eighteen are admitted for three dollars. Children under five are free. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
- The Cleveland Clinic Southpark Center has been sold. The 166,524-square-foot net-leased property sold for $15.9 million to national REIT. The property at 16761 Southpark Center in Strongsville sold above its listed price. (REJournal.com)
- The Cuyahoga County Council is considering a proposal to extend the quarter-percent sales tax to pay for a new county jail. The extended proposal, presented by County Executive Armond Budish, would be for the next 40 years. The County Council is worried that the proposal will not leave any funds for a new courthouse.
