Here are the top three stories today in Strongsville:
- Strongsville's Douglas Smith has been convicted on four counts of tax evasion. The conviction was passed down by a federal jury on Wednesday in Cleveland. The three-day trial examined evidence indicating that Smith failed to pay taxes from 2012 to 2012 and from 2014 to 2017. (Department of Justice)
- Drake Road will be temporarily closed starting Thursday, Oct. 27. The closure is for road resurfacing from Pearl to Howe Road. The road should reopen on Friday, Nov. 4. Please plan travel accordingly between these dates. (City of Strongsville)
- Author Shelley Shepard Gray will be making an appearance at the Strongsville Public Library on Thursday, Oct. 27. She will be discussing her new inspirational romance novel, Happily Ever Amish, at 7:00 p.m. There will be copies of the novel available for purchase. (City of Strongsville)
