🌱 Fatal Semi Crash + Verbal Altercation On Willow Wood Drive

Here are the top three stories today in Strongsville:

  1. Shawn Moore, 23 years old, was struck and killed by a semi on the Ohio Turnpike in Strongsville on Monday morning. Moore was transported to Southwest General Health Center and was pronounced dead shortly after. The semi truck driver was reportedly not injured. The crash is currently under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. (Cleveland 19 News)
  2. The Strongsville Police Department responded to Willow Wood Drive on Aug. 9 about a verbal altercation between neighbors. According to the department, the caller reported that the neighbor made inappropriate comments regarding her weight and wardrobe. The department advised both parties to no longer have any contact with each other. The department did not file any charges related to the incident. (cleveland.com)
  3. Partners Environmental Consulting, Inc, Cuyahoga County's environmental consultant, continues to reassure the community that the proposed county jail site is nothing to worry about. The location at 2700 Transport Road is reportedly toxic, but there are ways for the county to mitigate the risks. The 338-page environmental study suggests that vapor mitigation systems are installed and that groundwater should not be used. (Cleveland.com)
