Here are the top three stories today in Strongsville:
- The Strongsville High School football team was defeated on Friday, Oct. 14 by Mentor. The final score was 38-3. The team is now 3-6 in the 2022 season. The next game will be on Friday, Oct. 21 at 7:00 p.m. against Brunswick. Click for the full schedule. (Akron Beacon Journal)
- The Cleveland Guardians' postseason run is increasing foot traffic in Cuyahoga County. The county's tourism was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, but tourism is beginning to rebound. Restaurant managers are reporting larger crowds due to sporting events such as the American League Division Series. The current tourism goal is to increase foot traffic during the day. - Strongsville's Winter Wonderland Lighting Celebration will be on Nov. 20 at 5:30 p.m. There will be thousands of lights, fireworks, and new attractions during this year's celebration. Participants will get to take a tour of Town Center and meet with Santa in the gazebo. Donuts and hot cocoa will be provided by the Strongsville City Club. (City of Strongsville)
