Here are the top three stories today in Strongsville:

  1. A Strongsville woman has claimed that a city employee attempted to confiscate her political campaign signs from her front yard last month. According to the woman, her signs were technically in the city right-of-way. That is restricted by the city's municipal code. In an email to the city, Judy Boone claims that her signs were targeted because they supported left-leaning candidates. Investigative journalists have confirmed that signs for Republican candidates are also violating the right-of-way restriction, but they still remain up. (Subscription: cleveland.com)
  2. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has announced that the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office will be getting a $1 million grant to combat the recent increase in domestic and sexual assault violence. The funds will allow for the hiring of three additional prosecutors, enabling the team to spend more time and attention on the cases and victims of assault. (Spectrum 1 News)
  3. The latest list of Ohio High School football computer ratings has been released. Strongsville High School has been ranked 14th in Division 1 Region 1 with 4 votes. The team is currently 2-5 for the season. (Richland Source)
