Here are the top three stories today in Strongsville:
- Strongsville's inaugural StrongFest is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 27. The beer, wine, and food fundraiser will benefit Strongsville's Town Center Enhancement & Walkability initiative, alongside other Rotary Club charities. The festival will be between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Strongsville Ehrnfelt Recreation Center. (cleveland.com)
- The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is considering whether to place a state legislator on the General Election ballot. The issue is being considered after her opponent filed a complaint challenging Rep. Shayla Davis' position as an independent. Davis is running for Ohio's 18th House District seat. (Cleveland.com)
- The Cuyahoga County Board of Health has confirmed West Nile Virus in eight communities. Strongsville is not listed among the confirmed communities. Residents are asked to reduce mosquito breeding sites and are encouraged to take extra precautions against mosquito bites. (Fox 8 News)
