Here are the top three stories in Strongsville today:

1. The Cuyahoga County Council was presented with allegations of serious problems at the Jane Edna Hunter Social Services Center during last week's meeting. Two staff members of the county's Division of Children and Family Services presented the allegations that detailed the safety conditions that children are encountering while living in essentially an office building. According to the two women, extreme violence and understaffing are the two primary issues. (Ideastream)

3. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has issued a public health alert concerning the county's projected overdose death rate. According to the medical examiner, 15 individuals died over a four-day period due to suspected overdose. The county is on track to reach 700 overdoses by the end of this year. (Cleveland.com)
