Here are the top three stories today in Strongsville:
- Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish has not acknowledged a way to address the issues at the Jane Edna Hunter Social Services Center. The issues were presented by two Division of Children and Family Services workers last month. The workers reported unanswered phone calls to the child abuse hotline, staff assaults, roaming youth, and sex trafficking. According to Director of Health and Human Services David Merriman, the county has its hands tied on the issues. (Cleveland.com)
- Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County reports that wanted suspect Tyrese Acoff has been arrested by the Cleveland Police Department. Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County was offering a monetary reward for information that lead to an arrest of Acoff. He allegedly raped a 12-year-old girl on Aug. 11 and also failed to register as a Tier 2 sex offender. (WKYC.com)
- The robbery spree trial of Tamara McLoyd will reportedly begin on Tuesday in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. Judge John O'Donnell will be presiding over the trial. McLoyd and two other suspects are on trial for numerous armed robberies that began on Nov. 2, 2021. (The Chronicle)
