Here are the top three stories today in Strongsville:

  1. The Cuyahoga County Council passed new protections on Tuesday that would prevent an employer from discriminating based on reproductive choices. The new protection will prohibit the firing of an employee for deciding to have an abortion. The new protection was passed through an 8-3 vote. All three Republican council members rejected the proposal. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
  2. Strongsville's Chieffalo's Auto Repair shop will be relocating. The shop will now be located on Pearl Road between Drake and Boston roads. The Strongsville Planning Commission approved the relocation project during its September meeting. The shop's owner Sam Chieffalo reports that the move will allow him to own the new property and building. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
  3. The two anglers accused of cheating during a Lake Erie tournament pleaded not guilty to a Cuyahoga County judge on Wednesday. Jacob Runyan, 42 years old, and Chase Cominsky, 35 years old, were indicted on various charges that included cheating, attempted grand theft, and unlawful ownership of wild animals. Both men are due to appear in court on Nov. 9. (Cleveland 19)
