Here are the top three stories today in Strongsville:

1. The Strongsville City Council is considering a ban on giant shipping containers and rail cars in residential districts. The containers are becoming increasingly popular on city streets, and are being used as sheds and "man caves." The issue was first raised by the city's Planning Commission. 2. Cuyahoga County is searching for a utility partner for its microgrid project. The county has issued a request for qualifications to bring its ambitious plan into reality. The project seeks to build a reliable power grid for a time when weather and outages may be common and unpredictable. (Microgrid Knowledge)
3. Cuyahoga County has settled a lawsuit with a former jail inmate. Michael Roarty-Nugent claimed that officers attacked him for asking for an extra carton of milk. They allegedly kicked, punched, and sprayed pepper spray in his face while holding him to the ground. The county is settling the lawsuit for $115,000. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
