Here are the top three stories in Strongsville today:

  1. The City of Strongsville is searching for a new Safety Dispatcher. The position will be through the Southwest Emergency Dispatch Center which focuses on seven local Police & Fire Departments. The ideal applicant will have a high school education or a GED with the ability to pass an extensive background investigation. 500 hours of Public Service Dispatcher experience is also required.   3. Cuyahoga County's Beachwood Police Department will be receiving $559,073.82 from Governor DeWine's Ohio Violent Crime Reduction Grant Program. The program is currently in its fourth round and has distributed $19.5 million to 69 law enforcement agencies in Ohio. The funds are supposed to be used to strategically combat community violence.
