First, today's weather:

Humid; a stray p.m. t-storm. High: 85 Low: 66.

Here are the top three stories today in Strongsville:

1. The new state Senate district map has Strongsville in the 24th district. Some voters are reportedly unsure which state Senate district they are in due to the new map being used for the first time. Voters are currently casting early ballots for the Aug. 2 Primary Election. Click to learn more about voting. Click the following link for the county's Senate map. (Cleveland.com)
2. The Cuyahoga County Jail Administrator and the county's Public Works facilities management team has released their wish lists for the new jail project. The Administrator's list includes a large sally port, a large intake area, upper floor netting to prevent falls, garage doors, built-in recreation areas, four-man cells, time-out areas, a central control room, state-of-the-art technology, a large training room, employee locker space, and an employee dining room. The Public Works list is almost the same but with added infrastructure improvements. (Cleveland.com)
3. The Strongsville Community Business Expo will be on Oct. 12. The popular event will be held at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center on Royalton Road between 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The event will feature more than 100 local businesses and their products. The special guest will be WTAM 1100 Radio's Bill Wills. (City of Strongsville)
