  1. The City of Strongsville is now offering a new text alert service for its sports programs. To participate, residents can text "START SPORTS" to (855) 965-3719. Participating residents will receive registration deadline reminders for all major sports programs. There will not be any spam messages. (City of Strongsville)
  2. Cuyahoga County has joined the AARP network of age-friendly communities. The new initiative is titled, "Liveable Cuyahoga, a community for all ages." The purpose of the initiative is to support the county's individual communities in improving community services for an aging population. Though the initiative is targeted at the county's senior population, the county assures the improvements will benefit everyone. (Cleveland.com)
  3. A Cuyahoga County grand jury has indicted Treveon Jones, Jaahdarion Louis-Jones, and Rayquan Bryant for two separate armed carjackings. The incidents occurred in Rocky River last month. The individuals are facing felonies for aggravated robbery, felonious assault, grand theft, and more. The investigation is still ongoing. (Fox8.com)
