  1. Strongsville residents are encouraged to start pruning oak trees to minimize the spread of oak wilt. The lethal tree disease is very active in the Strongsville area. Symptoms of oak wilt include leaf discoloration, wilt, leaf loss, and death. The disease is spread by sapping-feeding nitidulid beetles and underground root grafts. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
  2. Strongsville's girls' soccer team is one win away from claiming a state championship title. The team beat Magnificat on Tuesday with a final score of 3-0. The team will be playing Cincinnati Seton on Friday at 1:00 p.m. The game will be at Lower.com Field in Columbus. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
  3. Cuyahoga County voters have approved the 2.7 mill levy replacement for Cleveland Metroparks. Issue Five passed by an overwhelming 77 percent. The levy will be used for park maintenance, educational resources, public safety, and increasing park access. (News 5 Cleveland)
