- The Strongsville City Jazz Swing Band will be performing at Strongsville United Church of Christ on Sunday, Dec. 11. The concert is titled "The Swinging Sounds of the Season" and will feature vocalist Cindy Smith. Tickets will be offered at the door for $10. The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. (Strongsville Community Band)
- The Strongsville Police Department responded to the Sheetz on Pearl Road for a shoplifting call on Nov. 15. According to the department, the caller reported that a customer had stolen merchandise from the gas station. It was revealed through the station's surveillance footage that the man stole a beef stick and a parfait. The department is investigating. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
- Cuyahoga County prosecutors report that a 72-year-old man from Lower Salem, OH has been connected to a 1997 rape case. Dennis Gribble pleaded not guilty to the accusations on Tuesday. He was linked to the case by DNA testing. He is currently under house arrest by GPS monitoring. (Cleveland 19)
