Here are the top three stories today in Strongsville:

  1. The Strongsville Community Business Expo will be at Ehrnfelt Recreation Center on Oct. 12. The popular event will run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This is the first time since the start of the pandemic that the business expo has been held. There will be over 100 tables showcasing the best Strongsville business' products and services. (City of Strongsville)
  2. The Cuyahoga County Corrections Center has been accredited by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care. This is the highest accreditation in the industry. The accreditation is the result of MetroHealth and Cuyahoga County leadership's efforts in improving health outcomes at the county jail. (MetroHealth)
  3. The Cuyahoga County Fair will be celebrating its 125th Anniversary this year. The fair will be from Aug. 9 through Aug. 14 at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds. Participants will enjoy arts & crafts showcases, a demolition derby, a stunt dog show, a circus, and much more. Presale tickets are currently available with prices increasing closer to the fair.   • Strongsville trash collection is delayed one day this week. The delay is due to the Jul. 4 holiday. Please plan accordingly. (City of Strongsville)
  • There will be a 5 percent penalty assessed on past due 2021 Real Estate tax bills after Jul. 15. Mark your calendar to avoid the penalty! (Cuyahoga County)
  • The next Cuyahoga County Council meeting will be on Jul. 19 in the C. Ellen Connally Council Chambers. The meeting starts at 5:00 p.m. (Cuyahoga County)
