Here are the top three stories in Strongsville today:

  1. Strongsville High School football managed to defeat Euclid on Friday, Oct. 7. The final score was 30-0. Strongsville High School football is now 3-5 for the season. The team will be playing Mentor on Friday, Oct. 14 at 7:00 p.m. It will be an away game. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
  2. The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter will be participating in "Adoptober" this month. The shelter will be reducing adoption fees to $30-$50 as a part of "Adopt a Shelter Dog Month." The shelter hopes that the fee reduction will allow more dogs to find homes. The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter has been at full capacity for the past few months, but staff are hoping "Adoptober" might change that. (Spectrum News 1)
  3. City of Strongsville administrative offices are closed today. The closures are for the observance of Columbus Day. The Ehrnfelt Recreation Center will remain open. Trash collection schedules will not be altered. Please plan accordingly. (City of Strongsville)
