- Strongsville Homecoming is officially underway. The 80th annual event will be running until Jul. 16 on the Commons at the corner of Peral and Royalton Roads. The event includes rides, games, local food, fireworks, and much more. Admission is free but rides cost money. The event does offer an all-day ride pass for $25. - Cuyahoga County is celebrating Plastic Free Month. The month-long event is meant to recognize the impact of decreasing single-use plastic in our community. - The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner urges the community to take all necessary precautions as the number of drug overdoses increases. The medical examiner issued a public health alert after dozens of individuals died from suspected drug overdoses last weekend. - The Strongsville Police Department announces that it will begin issuing tickets to children wearing bike helmets. Each ticket will be good for one free ice cream cone at Olympia Candy. - The Strongsville City Jazz Swing Band Concert will be on Jul. 22 at 7:00 p.m. This free concert will be at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center. (City of Strongsville)
