Here are the top three stories in Strongsville today:
- The Strongsville Community Theatre will be performing A Tribute to the Great American Songbook on Oct. 29 at 8:00 p.m. at The Center for Innovation & Growth. The performance will feature Jim's Little Big Band. There will be hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, and live entertainment. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased by calling the box office. - The Strongsville Police Department responded to a domestic violence call on Monday, Oct. 10. According to the department, the incident stemmed from parents taking away a cell phone from their son. Since nothing physical occurred, the son was sent to bed and no charges were filed. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
- The Cuyahoga County Executive and the County Council President have withdrawn from the County Jail steering committee. The two claim that the committee was not working as it intended and has turned the county's lawyer against them. The withdrawal was announced through a joint letter that was sent to Prosecutor Michael O'Malley, Judge Brendan Sheehan, and Public Defender Cullen Sweeney on Monday. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
