- The Commander of the VFW Post in Strongsville reports that donations severely dropped during the COVID-19 pandemic. The donations are primarily used to provide vital services to veterans. During the pandemic, the Strongsville VFW Post lost an average of $25,000 per month in bar revenue and potential donations. The location is operating again and has been conducting a variety of fundraisers including its recent yard sales. (Spectrum News 1)

- Three Cuyahoga County Jail corrections officers have been fired for stealing commissary snacks. The snacks were reportedly stolen for the officers and for inmates. Louis Colon, Voyice Clark, and Denise Sims were fired after an anonymous tip was given to an associate warden in January. An attorney with the Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolence Association has filed grievances for all three corrections officers in an attempt to get their jobs back. (Cleveland.com)
