Here are the top three stories in Strongsville today:

  1. Walmart will be remodeling its Strongsville store. The renovations include new fixtures, expanded seasonal offerings, new bathrooms, new paint, new signage, and expanded self-checkout lanes. The renovations will also bring Walmart Pay to the stores. The remodel is part of a 14-store renovation plan in Northeast Ohio. (Canton Repository)
  2. On Aug. 22, a woman dialed 911 to request a ride home from a Pearl Road bar. Dispatch told the woman to request a taxi or an Uber. The caller hung up and dispatch attempted to contact the caller again. The Strongsville Police Department eventually arrested the caller for disorderly conduct after being dispatched to the bar.   3. A friendly reminder that Cuyahoga County is requesting public input on additional locations for electric scooters and bikes. The county's network has expanded to almost 500 scooters since the program was started in 2018. The public input will be collected through Sep. 30.
