Here are the top three stories in Strongsville today:
- A Brunswick man with Strongsville theft warrants was arrested by a Rocky River officer on Aug. 8. According to the department, the man allegedly stole an air conditioning unit from a Marc's store. The 50-year-old man admitted to being addicted to drugs. The suspect also had warrants from Portage County, Avon, Brunswick, Cuyahoga County, Willoughby Hills, and Westlake. (Cleveland.com)
- Wendy's has stopped placing lettuce on sandwiches in response to a U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention investigation into Cuyahoga County E. coli cases. The county had two of the 19 Ohio cases. There have not yet been any deaths reported in the ongoing outbreak, and the specific food causing the outbreak has not been discovered. (WFMJ)
- Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has appointed three Cuyahoga County residents to different state boards. Jennifer Kucera of Berea has been appointed to the state's Developmental Disabilities Council. Thomas Tallman of Shaker Heights has been reappointed to the Medical Quality Foundation Board. Scott Wilks of University Heights has been reappointed to the Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Click the following link for the full list of appointments.
