Here are the top three stories in Strongsville today:
- Strongsville's Winter Wonderland Lighting Celebration will be on Sunday, Nov. 20, at the Commons. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. The giant tree, clocktower, gazebo, and holiday decorations will be lit during the celebration. Santa will be at the event to meet with local children in the city's gazebo. This year, there will also be a Holiday Lights Trolley taking guests on tours through Town Center. (City of Strongsville)
- The City of Strongsville has received significant grants from both the State of Ohio and Cuyahoga County for the Town Center project. The state provided $725,000 from its capital budget and the county has provided $3.5 million from its American Rescue Plan Act funds. The money will be used to upgrade Strongsville's Town Center with a splash pad, playgrounds, a large pavilion, and more. (City of Strongsville)
- The Cuyahoga County Public Library's new childhood development program is offering free services to local families. The Family Spaces Program will be providing families with social networks and play groups to support positive development. The new program is being piloted at four different library branches before being expanded throughout the county. (News 5 Cleveland)
