  1. Cuyahoga County has been changed to yellow designation by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The county was previously designated as red for high community transmission of COVID-19. The county had been red since late July. Most of Northeast Ohio has been changed to yellow. (Cleveland.com)
  2. The number of West Nile-positive mosquitoes has increased in Cuyahoga County. Strongsville residents are encouraged to take precautions to prevent mosquito bites during the Labor Day weekend. Stay indoors during peak mosquito activity, wear long-sleeved shirts/pants, and use insect repellent containing DEET. West Nile virus is a series illness. (Cleveland.com)
  3. Cuyahoga County prosecutors have filed a case against two East Cleveland police officers. Tyler Mundson and Brian Stoll have been indicted for theft in office, interfering with civil rights, and tampering with evidence. The facts of the case have not been outlined in the filing. Last week, Police Chief Scott Gardner was indicted on similar charges. (Fox 8 News)
