Here are the top three stories in Strongsville today:
- The Strongsville Police Department's K-9 officer was requested on Oct. 5 during a traffic stop. The incident occurred on I-71 around 11:00 p.m. A car was pulled over after being clocked going about 90 miles per hour. The K-9 officer made a positive hit on the vehicle on officers found various pills, a digital scale, suspected narcotics, and suspected marijuana. The driver was released at the scene. - Cuyahoga County is still designated at a yellow level for COVID-19 community transmission. The latest map provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also marked Lorain County at a yellow level. Cuyahoga County residents are still encouraged to ask their healthcare providers whether masks or other precautions are necessary. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
- The Strongsville Public Library will be hosting a Halloween Storytime and Costume Parade event on Monday, Oct. 31. Participants will enjoy spooky stories, music, and crafts. The children will parade through the library during the event while collecting treats. Participants are encouraged to attend in costume. (City of Strongsville)
