Altamount Drive Woman Reports Catalytic Converter Theft

The woman told police a man grabbed his tools and ran when she caught him

An Altamount Drive woman said a man stole the catalytic converter from her car on Monday, April 16.

The 35-year-old woman said around 6 a.m. she saw a white male by her car with some tools.

When she approached the man, he threw the tools in his trunk and fled in a black Chevrolet Cavalier.

When the woman went back out to start her car for work it was extremely loud and she noticed her exhaust was hanging on the ground.

Police said the catalytic converter had been removed.

The suspect was described as a white male in his mid 30's, and approximately 5'10" tall.
