The athletic department is trying its best to promote the contest and has even sent out emails district-wide to get more votes.
But Twinsburg might be one of the only schools trying to do so. Popovich thinks most schools arenβt very aware of the contest because some of the votes are so low.
Third-place Goodrich High School, in Michigan, only has around 3,000 votes with 11 days left to vote.
βYou can tell the votes just arenβt there for some of the other schools,β Popovich said. βHopefully, we can keep this going and bring home the voting championship."
And of course, and extra $1,000 is a nice bonus.
βYea, that always helps,β Popovich said.
