Burglary on Lost Pond Drive, 'Playful' Mischief: Police Blotter

A Lost Pond Drive man called police after he discovered his home had been robbed on June 20.

The man said that several electronic items including a Xbox 360, a 60-inch and 42-inch flat screen TV.

When he came home he found the items missing and the rear sliding door open. Police canvassed the area and are still investigating.

Violence and drugs

Officers were called to the 8900 block of Merrvale Drive for domestic violence between a son and step-father. The son, a juvenile, was charged for domestic violence and drug paraphernalia after he was found with a glass smoking device with marijuana residue.

Drunken Driving

A Warren Parkway man was arrested and charged with drunken driving on June 18 after police pulled him over for weaving and hitting a curb several times. He refused to take a breathalyzer test after he was pulled over in his driveway. He was charged with refusing sobriety tests, driving under suspension and weaving.

Don't touch my toys

On June 23, a Melissa Court resident reported that toys in her yard were thrown around aimlessly upon their return from a short vacation. She reported one item was damaged.

Gone postal

Officers responded to an Abrams Drive home on June 21 for a report of a mailbox that had been damaged. When police arrived they found the neighboring two houses also had damage to their mailboxes.

Stolen car

On June 21 a man reported his car had been stolen from the parking lot of Giant Eagle on Darrow Road.
