Citizen participation in the governing process is part of what makes Twinsburg a great place to call home. The city is seeking civic-minded individuals interested in serving the community on a Board, Commission, or Committee. Â This rewarding experience broadens your knowledge of local government and your involvement with your community. Â
The Mayor and City Council appoint commission members who act in advisory and decision making capacities on various issues affecting the community. Applicants must be residents of the City of Twinsburg, and in some cases must live in a specific city ward. Current Board and Commission Vacancies Board of Zoning Appeals (Wards 1, 4 & 5) Civil Service Commission (1 opening) Districting Commission (Wards 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5) Environmental Commission (4 openings) Gleneagles Advisory Board (9 openings) Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee - JEDI (7 openings) Parks and Recreation Commission (Wards 3, 4 & 5 & Teen) Planning Commission (Wards 1 & 2)
Application ProcessApplications must be received by 4:30 pm on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 to be considered. Late applications will not be accepted. To apply, please complete an online application available here, https://bit.ly/3IX2DNK.
Once the application period ends, the Clerk of Council will begin contacting all new applicants to schedule a short interview with the City Council prior to a future City Council.
