Don't Forget To Turn Your Clocks Forward!

Daylight Savings Time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday morning

Make sure you go to bed an hour earlier tonight, or else you will lose an hour of sleep!

That's right, Daylight Savings Time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday morning, so don't forget to set your clocks forward an hour (remember we "spring ahead" and "fall back").

Why all the hassle? Daylight Savings Time, first established in 1918, is designed to add an hour of sunlight to the end of the day during the warm weather months, according to theΒ National Institute of Standards and Technology. The period of time was extended in 2007 by one month to encourage energy savings, and now runs from 2 a.m. the second Sunday of March (March 11) to 2 a.m. on the first Sunday of November.
