Failure to Stop Leads to Drug Bust: The Blotter

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

On Feb. 16, Twinsburg police saw a car fail to come to a complete stop at the corner of Chamberlin and Ravenna Roads. While speaking with the driver, police saw a baggy of marijuana sticking out from the side of the center console. After a probable cause search they found a glass marijuana smoking pipe inside the center console. The man was charged with misdemeanor drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia (a fourth degree misdemeanor) and released at the scene with a court date.

On Feb. 13 officers conducted a traffic stop of a car driving along Glenwood Drive for a traffic violation. The male driver wasΒ  arrested for a warrant from another department.

On Feb. 14 an officer stopped a car for weaving found the driver to be drunk. The driver was subsequently arrested for drunken driving and taken to station for a blood-alcohol test, which was over the legal limit. The man was charged with drunken driving and reckless operation. The driver was released on a PR bond.

On Feb. 15 police learned of a man who had entered Twinsburg High School without authorization. The suspect, a former student, had been told he was not permitted on school property. Officers found him behind the Twinsburg Fitness Center. He was arrested and charged for trespassing.

On Feb. 15 a Darrow Park Drive resident told police his car had been keyed. There are no suspects or witnesses.

On Feb. 15 Twinsburg PD was told by Macedonia police that a male wanted in Parma for felonious assault and domestic violence was possibly at the 9900 block of Shepard Road. The male was located at the home and arrested. He was later picked up by Parma police.

On Feb. 15 officers stopped a car on State Route 91 near Twinsburg Road for numerous moving violations. A search of car was conducted and marijauna was found inside. The driver was cited for a seatbelt violation and minor misdemeanor marijuana possession.
