Government Offices Closed Today for Veteran's Day

Don't forget to remember and honor those who have dedicated their lives for our freedom

Happy Veteran's Day Twinsburg. Today we all celebrate the lives and dedication of those who have fought so valiantly for our country and the freedoms that we are privelaged to have today.

While it is a day to remember and honor those living and passed who fought for us, keep in mind several offices will be closed today including:

  • Twinsburg City Hall
  • United States Postal Service
  • Twinsburg Public Library

According to The Department of Veterans Affairs, on Oct. 8, 19554"President Dwight D. Eisenhower issued the first 'Veterans Day Proclamation' which stated: 'In order to insure proper and widespread observance of this anniversary, all veterans, all veterans' organizations, and the entire citizenry will wish to join hands in the common purpose.' That year, Nov. 11 became a day to honor American veterans of all wars.
