Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

Why Go: Bring in your homemade cupcakes to share after the program. Life In the Western Reserve features Sandra Zikursh as she portrays a pioneer woman and her daily activities. She will act out the many hardships in the frontier setting while she uses humor and facts to entertain the audience.

Why Go: Every five years, CVCC pauses to reflect on its history, celebrate its accomplishments, and look forward to its future, which is made possible with the support of the residents of its eight associate public school districts: Brecksville-Broadview Heights, Cuyahoga Heights, Garfield Heights, Independence, Nordonia Hills, North Royalton, Revere and Twinsburg. Therefore, it is only fitting that they be invited to such an occasion
