Lady Tigers Must Beat Walsh to Keep Title Hopes Alive

The Twinsburg Lady Tigers basketball team has dominated its competition so far in the Division I Akron Sectional Tournament.

Now they must beat a quality team if they are to continue on the road to Columbus.

Twinsburg will play Walsh-Jesuit at 8 p.m. Thursday at Ellet High School.

Walsh comes into the meeting with a 18-4 (11-0) record. They blew by Aurora in the first round, 85-47, and beat Austintown-Fitch 53-38 on Saturday.

So far the Tigers have routed each of their opponents. First they crushed Boardman 78-26 and then dominated Youngstown East 87-23 this weekend.

The winner of Thursday's game will face the winner of the Hudson/Howland game in the sectional tournament final on Saturday at 1 p.m.
