Officers Arrest Man for Hiding 8-Inch Knife: Police Blotter

On June 2 Twinsburg police stopped a car on the 2100 block of East Aurora Road for weaving. Police searched the car and the 19-year-old driver was taken into custody after an eight-inch bowie knife was found under his seat and a glass smoking pipe with burnt marijuana residue was found in the trunk.

No Theft, Just Pot

Police were called to a Darrow Road restaurant on May 28 for a reported theft of $150. However, because of the lack of leads, the investigation was suspended. While at the restaurant, a 38-year-old Akron man was charged for possession of marijuana.

Too Much To Drink

On May 29 an officer was talking to a man at the Sheetz gas station on East Aurora Road and could smell alcohol on his breath. The 45-year-old Cleveland man completed field sobriety tests, which he  failed. He was arrested taken to the police department where police found his blood alcohol level was .225, well over the legal limit of .08. He was charged with drunken driving.

Grand Theft Auto: Twinsburg

On May 29 police responded to the 8400 block of a Darrow Road business for a report of a stolen car from the parking lot.

Going 'Postal' 

A Belmeadow Drive man called police saying on May 30 a silver sedan hit his mailbox, backed into his driveway and sped away. The man said he couldn't make out a license plate but noticed a broken driver's side mirror. Police could not find the car. 

Drugs Under the 'Blue Top'

Police were called to a disturbance at the Blue Top Motel on Ravenna Road May 30. While there was an argument, they determined nothing physical happened. However, police found synthetic marijuana, known as "spice," and a smoking device. A man and woman were arrested for drug paraphernalia, while the woman was also charged with disorderly conduct/intoxication.
