POLL: Which School Budget Options Do You Prefer?
You heard from the district. Now we want to hear what you think about the possible school cuts
Almost 200 parents and community members to hear what options the was looking at to .
There are many options to be examined by the district including:
- Laying off 70 (combined certified and classifed) staff members
- Implementing pay-to-participate for sports and other extra-curricular activities (either a percentage or flat fee)
- Cuts to busing (eliminating high school routes, corner stops, minimizing routes)
- Passing a possible 4.9 mill levy in 2012
- Assessing student fees for consumable items such as workbooks, testing supplies and technology
